The Flour Girl Bakery and Cafe is a woman-owned and operated business located in Hebron, CT. We pride ourselves on producing food you can feel good about eating by sourcing the freshest, most high-quality ingredients. For us, that starts with a bag of King Arthur Flour and our wild yeast sourdough starter. These are then hand-mixed to form anything from a classic sourdough to a sweet or savory sourdough.
Each bread is lovingly and expertly crafted by hand; there are no shortcuts when it comes to our product. Our sourdoughs are considered a true sourdough, meaning that they rise for about 10-16 hours. In that time, the wheat pods break down far more than in other bread varieties or even a store-bought sourdough. Many with gluten intolerance will find that they can enjoy our sourdough, but as always, please use your own best judgement when considering any gut issues.
